002/Atlantic view Hotel Nacional de Cuba, Havana, Cuba.
Built in elegant Colonial style in 1927 and set on a landscaped crag. In 1933 the government and military holed up here during a national revolt; Frank Sinatra held a birthday party here in 1946; Marlon Brando and Winston Churchill have stayed and Wormold, the main character in Graham Greene's novel Our Man in Havana, plays out his role in the restaurant. In the evening music is played, impromptu dancing breaks out and people sip rum cocktails as they watch the sun sink slowly into the sea.
