The most famous beach in the world is a bit past its best now. But with it's 8km of stunning white sand still make it one of the beautiful. Roberto Burle Marx one of the best-known landscape architect of the 20th century, will be best remembered for the 5km of wavy patterns, created in mosaic tiles, which snake along the promenade beside Copacabana beach and the very busy main road a little quieter at 6.00 am.
