029/Empire Hotel Bath England
Just to the right of Grand Parade at the corner is the Empire Hotel. Note the three distinctive roof types: cottage, mansion and castle which were presumably meant to compliment its clientele! In front of the Abbey is Orange Grove, formerly a grove of trees; the obelisk was erected by Beau Nash in honour of William of Orange. To the right are the parade Gardens and Bath rugby club once a marshy area and mark the level of Bath in Roman times.
