Following on from the Pulteney Bridge and noting the toll booths on both sides you arrive at Argyle Street and Laura Place. To the left, is a rare Victorian hexagonal post box known as a Penfold box after the man who designed it. Ahead is Great Pulteney Street, one of the most magnificent residential streets in Bath (100 feet wide 1,100 feet long). Once a fashionable parading walkway with Georgians over 200 years ago.
