018/Elder's Magnificent Circus Bath England
John Wood the Elder's Circus completed by his son as his father died shortly after laying the foundation stone of the first house in 1754. Renowned for his wacky, eccentric, antiquarian theories, the Circus was inspired by the relationships between an ancient temple in Jerusalem, Pythagoras, Bladud and the stone-circles of pre-Roman Britain! The diameter of the Circus matches that of Stonehenge.
